Helping a child learn to ride a bicycle is one of the most rewarding things anyone can do.
Unfortunately there are times when a child is saddled for years with the crutch of training wheels. This is usually not fun for the parents wanting to break the habit, or the child trying to keep up with their friends - who are speeding away unrestrained.
A weekly rental program for Kazam kick bikes. These bikes have no training wheels or pedals and are designed to help children learn balance and steering. This separates the basic skills needed to learn to ride a bicycle making it much easier to learn. Watch videos here.
The rental fee is only $45 a week, less than half the cost of purchasing a Kazam, and is usually just enough time for your child to get confident enough for their first bicycle. Once your child has mastered these skills, return the Kazam and we apply 70% of the rental fee to the purchase of your child's first new bicycle (which is typically a 12-inch wheeled bike).
When they grow out of the 12-inch, you can bring it back and we will give you up to a $25 in-store credit toward a new 16-inch bicycle, which is the next size up. We do it one more time when they grow into a 20-inch bicycle. The bicycles that are traded in are either serviced and sold at a discounted price, or donated to a non-profit.
*With a trade in, you don't have to start with the Kazam, we are happy to just start where your child is now. If your child already has a bicycle with training wheels, the Kazam can still be a great tool to help them kick the habit for good. Don't worry, if you want to purchase a Kazam, we'll be happy to get one for you. You don't have to rent it forever.
